April 28th, 2016: GOPT Event #85

We slogged it down to the farm for number 85. With the draft on in the background, Siri took his 20th bracelet. Junior grabbed the wrong beers, and took out five people to get first place in the second tournament.

In a twist to the BFJB punishment, Moe also gave the choice of a spin on the Beanboozled board. Most took that over a BFJB, resulting in much sadness and some confusion.

07:59PM: “I’ll give you a big tip” — Waxcuses

08:00PM: “Waxcuses now holds the record for most announced burn cards” — Coach

AC BABY 2016: March 24, 2016 (GOPT Event #84)

AC Baby happened, and we escaped with our lives. There is an audio record of lunch, should you know where to find it.

MP emerged victorious and in the money after a nine-way chop. His victory in the 20th GOPT major event brings him even in bracelet wins with Princess Peach.

Rule 3.6.8 was ratified while at the Ducktown Bar. “If anyones ends up in the money at a GOPT major event, they are required to spend half of that money on the group — on drinks, food, etc.”

2016 Bracket Busters is well underway…

February 11, 2016: GOPT Event #83

Waxcuses hosted Screech’s last GOPT event before heading west. He won the bracelet, but there wasn’t one to give. For shame.

One shot deferred by Junior.

05:47AM: Siri’s out, so Screech is bringing chips, Junior has the timer, and Waxcuses has the table.

06:50PM: Masta Pu$$y is assumed last place in the first tournament.

06:51PM: Waxcuses doesn’t have any music system.

06:55PM: Andre is spending his time ordering man sanitizer.

07:06PM: Mary J Blige showed up.

07:11PM: Andre: “straight!” …. Oh shit. Just most of a straight.

07:12PM: Waxcuses earns three shots in one deal.

07:31PM: Screech — “no cocks tonight!” Coach “ladies night!”

07:47PM: “Screech, is it in yet?” — “yeah, that’s the entirety”

08:15PM: 9 handed at 200 400

08:25PM: 400/800 8 handed.

08:33PM: 7 handed at 400/800

08:37PM: Small stack special.

08:40PM: 6 at 800/1600

08:46PM: Quick outs.

09:01PM: Cheers to a whale’s vagina. Shots of tequila feel weird without Masta Pu$$y.

09:07PM: Waxcuses spells shocker “socker” while searching on the Apple TV. Happy joker night!

09:27PM: Junior defers a shot.

09:28PM: “Are those two clubs?” Coach: “I can conform.”

09:31PM: “This is the Philippine nipple twister! Two in vanilla, one in Manila!” – Moe

09:32PM: Masta Pu$$y misses the first game for a meeting, gets blinded in long into the second game.

09:37PM: Waxcuses showing rampant bacon collar.

10:05PM: Masta Pu$$y’s Miller lite can was born on October 24, 2011.

10:51PM: Lights are out. That’s a shot.

11:11PM: River win for Screech over Andre.

11:13PM: No bracelet for Screech. That’s a shot for Siri.

Today in GOPT History

On February 12, 2009, Andre hosts GOPT Bracelet Event #5. Siri is the big winner, claiming his first ever GOPT Bracelet. This ties him with Waxcuses and Moe for second place on the All-Time Bracelet list, one behind the leader at the time, Coach. Today Siri dominates the Bracelet Standings with 19 lifetime bracelets, which is 5 more than Moe, 7 more than Coach, and 8 more than short timer Screech on the All-Time list…

Today in GOPT History

February 4, 2010 – Fearing they may be short on players, Coach invites a few non GOPT members, but known poker players, to his place for ESFFL Bracelet Event #14. Norman is the only one to take him up on the offer. Before anyone can realize Norman is bluffing on almost every hand, he builds an insurmountable chip stack and wins the bracelet, becoming, to this day, the only non GOPT member to win a bracelet. Despite not playing a GOPT event in the last six years, Norman remains tied for 10th place on the All-Time Bracelets won list with Andre and The Bieb.

February 4, 2014 – Moe host GOPT Bracelet Event #58. He serves some type of cocktail which no one likes and Kip makes a special appearance and wins his 7th bracelet – his most recent bracelet win.

Respectfully submitted by Coach from the Annals of GOPT History…

January 21, 2016: Event #82

Hosted by Junior, who didn’t get enough potato salad.

Pocket 8s vs. pocket 8s.

“Waxcuses is on fire… he’s correcting people… correctly!”

“I’m pretty happy with with state of my nipples.” – Siri

New rule — dealer has to make the deal past the mid-line of the table. Much disagreement.

2015 Delaware Park Open (December 30th, 2015): GOPT Event #81

“Dibs on tramp.” – Siri

“Psst…. *is she ripe?*” – Andre

Coach took our Junior, calling his all-in with 10/6. Screech took out Siri. Coach was the bubble boy, and took the consolation $20. Screech made it to the final five, who all chopped it — $316 each.

The Bieb owes a shot for backing out <24 hours beforehand.

December 10, 2015 (80th Bracelet Event)

Masta Pu$$y takes the bracelet, Coach takes the lead in season standings.

Screech’s shot balance is one, which after carrying over will be two.

A few rule changes were put in place, as noted in the previous post.

Andre and The Bieb are owed $15 and $5 from Junior, respectively, which will be paid out when then get Venmo, according to the new rules. [Note on 1/20/2016: Zero paid The Bieb $5 via Venmo.]

Rule updates after 12/10/2015 Event

The rules have been changed from the previous version to the current version. Updates are as follows, and were based on website polls or by majority vote.

  • Added the clarification for button placement during heads up play based on WSOP rule 86 in §1.1.
  • §3.5.5 updated to reflect the newer standard allowed leaving time of 10:30.
  • §3.5.6 is added. “Setting an alarm for 10:30PM to leave immediately thereafter = 1 shot”
  • §2.4, as phrased, is removed – this is because it regards payments done in cash.
  • §2.4 is re-added, stated as follows: “Buyins and payouts will be handled using Venmo. Not having Venmo accessible for any event results in a one shot penalty. To make up for the inconvenience incurred, the liquor for this shot will be chosen by the processor of the payments (currently Junior). Any payouts owed to an individual who bought in with cash due to a lack of Venmo access (including any pending payouts) can and will be delayed until they eventually join Venmo.”
